For children, the death of a loved one can be particulary devastating. 13-year old Rylie Kearns shares her experience of losing her father and learning what she believes is the most important truth of all—you’re not alone. She hopes by speaking publicly she can reach other children who may not believe they will ever feel good again.

About the speaker(s)

Rylie Kearns is currently an 8th grade honors student and a member of Beta Club involved in activities including American Sign Language Club, TREPS club and Girl Scouts. Rylie is interested in pursuing a career in Nursing in the United States Air Force. In her leisure time, Rylie plays goalkeeper for her club soccer team, catcher for softball and is a recreation cheerleader when she isn’t spending time with her mom or dog, Roxy Hope.
